shorter auto shifter?

Hi guys, I have an auto oz 03 and I was wondering if there is anything shorter than the stock shifter and where I can get one.

Doesn't it have a button on top of it? How would you even make it shorter? I guess you could cut it down and install an aftermarket one.. but you would probably loose the functionality of the button. My friend did that to his saturn. He bought this one.

truly, what is the point of an auto short shifter? even for cosmetic reasons, just leave it.

does he mean the length of the actual shifter, or the shift knob? I know the stock shift knob on my manual ES was pretty big, and I didn't like it, so I got a shorter shift knob, because it just felt to high when I was shifting gears with the stock one. Maybe that's what he is doing it for, or could be for the look, I've never seen the stock shifter for on auto on lancers, so I dunno, but I'm sure the guy has his own reasons.

i have an auto and i wouldnt mind the look of a short shifter. what the hell, its just a shifter, stop raggin on the guy. you guys are no different. whats the point of putting black rims on? does it make the car go faster, respond better? how about a body kit? aerodynamics? yeah right. there is no point to it, it just would look better.
