Hey guys! Wow, it's been a while since I last had time to write here at EvoM. Well, let's get straight to the dilemma.

I own a 2003 White Lancer and I just needed ideas for the color of the rims that I should put on the car. I have white 17's on the car and so the whole car looks white. But after poppin my front passenger tire...thanks to numerous pot holes left behind b/c taxes off my paycheck isn't enough to fix em.... I decided to buy new rims. Now I just need a color scheme.. a fellow EvoM member that works w/ me suggested gold rims... now..I dunno about that...I really don't think that would look nice. I'd put a picture of my car right now on here, but i just can't figure out how to add pix. Anyways...back to the rims...

White + Gold?

For those that have white lancers... could u tell me wut color rims u have? This is open to all color suave pplz too by the way. I was thinking

White car + black rims w/ silver lip... any suggestions?

yeah, gold/bronze rims look sexy with black or white lancers (i wish i had a white/black car so i could buy some nice ones.. hahaha)

bronze looks really good on light colored cars. I was like u at first and thought bronze wheels would look disgusting, but after a buddy of mine put them on his car it has changed my mind set. Usually for wheels I think a dark wheel goes well with a light car, good contrast.

 

Go with Black rims.

 

if u pop tires because of potholes, buy something w/out a polished lip. they get one scrath or one tiny dent and the clear starts peeling off. if u buy bronze, black or gunmetal, they can be painted or touched up if scratched or dented. also try going w/ a 45 series tire if possible. 40 series are just too thin where there is potholes. i have gunmetals w/ a polished lip and the lip looks like crap cause i popped 6 tires already, all on potholes. just my .02. i would go with a 17" bronze wheel. black looks good too though

 

Thanks guys. Well... i'll keep an eye out for those bronze colored rims... i've seen the white car and black rims and it does look nice. At the moment, i've lost interest in spending my cash on the rims... damn Sony PSP! Sony's new toy caught my eye in the mall the other day....and i'm not really in a rush to put 17's back on. I'm not in a hurry to pop new tires hahaha...But what I do know is that I have to get rid of my white rims first... hahaha... so then i can have some money back.

 

im sorry but i only think bronze/gold rims only look good on blue sti's. i'd go with gun metal or hyper black

My vote's for gold/bronze. Those color rims look awesome on white cars. Or ^^^ the Ralliart rims up above. Those are freakin sweet.

 

Damn, everyone seems to like the gold/bronze color wtih the white. I think I'll be leaning towards that color more now. I"ve seen a picture here on EvoM of a White Evo w/ bronze rims and geezus... it looks NICE! LoL Now the only thing to figure out is... where to get them cheap or similiar to prices of silver / black rims.
