torque steer?

When I hit the gas pedal there is a very strong pull to the right. Is this OK? I have never owned a front wheel drive vehicle so I don't know if this is normal or not. Any ideas?

Ayup. That or in some circles, "lack of LSD".

if its really strong it might be your aligment, if you let go of the wheel on the freeway does it pull strong to the right? i think its supposed to pull a little to the right from the factory so if you fall asleep behind the wheel you don't drive into oncoming traffic.

Re: torque steer?

Welcome to FWD. This is quite normal because all of the engine torque is going to the same wheels that also have to steer the car.

My LSD-equipped Sentra Spec V torque-steers like crazy BTW. The Lancer is nothing in comparison.

if it pulls really hard check your motor mounts... a broken mount can lead to really bad torque steer..
