Exclamation Lancer and Evo Body Frame

Just a quick question guys... I want to know if the base body frame of the Lancer and the Evo are the same.

I'm only asking b/c a buddy at work owns an Evo and he bought a bumper here on EvoM during a group buy. Now he has it and is second guessing to put the bumper on cuz it'll be too low to the ground. So i'm considering taking it off his hands and putting it on my car. I own a 03 Lancer ES.

I'm thinking... if the whole frame is practically the same... I'll get the bumper from him... and I'll buy a pair of Evo headlights...and try to find an Evo hood.

So now... Question 1: Will the bolts match up if i try to put an Evo hood on the car?

Question 2: If I can put the Evo headlights on the car (even tho i kno i have to work on the fenders to get them on), will the screws match up for the Evo headlights?

Question 3: Will the bolting of the bumper match up?

If you guys could help, I'd really appreaciate it. I don't want to pass this opportunity up. Or if you could direct me to a forum where I kno most likely exists already here. THanks!

CS6A vs. CT9A...

I think the main part of the chassis is the same, but I'm sure the front end is different, as are parts of the rear. I wouldn't bet money on that fitting. I'm sure it could be done with enough custom work, but I'd hardly consider it worthwhile.

So.

1. Bolts, probably. Latch, no.

2. Probably not.

3. Probably not.

I'd be surprised if your plan worked the way you intend it.

Yeah I've seen ppl saying that it won't or its different, but noone sounds like they physcially LOOKED at the bolts and stuff. And I'm already talking about fender, headlight, bumper, and hood change.

It's your money. Different chassis codes are enough to convince me.

Of course they will fit... evo parts are more similar to the regular lancer than 200x Acura RSX parts are as similar to a Civic.. With some modification anything will fit.

[note to n00bs - he's being sarcastic. ]

STOP TELLING HIM THE WRONG STUFF!! lol.... what if he actually goes buy it off his friend.... waste a couple hundred dollars just because he believed you......

NOTE: i actually don't know if it would fit, but evos have way wider bodies so i assume their bumpers will have to be wider too. more like a not-fit
but well... "With some modification anything will fit." thats true....

since he's your friend, you might as well ask for a test fit first.
