RHD lancer

If you took the body work off this and got a 4g63t tranny for a FWD could you stick this setup in the front of a OZ lancer and rework some interior parts, anyone know if its even possible, just think it would be super cool to have a RHD lancer, if not anyone know any shop in the us that will do a RHD conversion i got $5k to spend but its gotta be certified and gauranteed and all that stuff. any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

You have $5k. Get some estimates. Don't ask a bunch of postwhores on the Internet.

Yeah really your better off going to the source. I doubt 5k$ would be enough though, at least to do a good job.

RHD cars in a LHD world = bad idea.

Kiss drive-throughs goodbye.

That and passing, parking, etc.. You might wanna talk to your insurance agency as well, they might not be willing to insure a car thats been torn apart and rebuilt backwards.

I thought you could only maybe, possibly, could be, theoretically swap an Evo IV-IX engine into a Lancer. Why not just put in the I-III motor? Why even swap the motor?

I used the drivethrough as a funny example, but ambytsom addressed the real issues. Just wait till you pull up to your first toll booth. I guess most of the country doesn't have as much of those as we do though.

Carpooling is finally practical in this situation.

RHD is not a good idea for any sort of econobox, you should probably look at getting a real car imported that is rhd

It would be cheaper just to take a trip over to a foreign country and purchase a used one.. then start from there. (or buy one from someone foreign online.. I saw some RHD evo's on ebay before)
