I'd recommend spending a couple hundred extra and getting a brand you know to be decent. Rota for example. If you wanna see what happens when you buy cheap wheels, come over to my garage and take a look at my RS Limited ADR Ikaris.

You get what you pay for. And when it has to A) hold your car up and B) hold air in the tires, pay a little more for quality.

They have some name brand stuff. When it comes down to it, never spend less than $750 on a wheel & tire package because then you're basically getting crap wheels. Rotas and good cheap rims, you can get Buddy Club wheels for pretty cheap as well.

Buy them used and pay half the price. I bought 2 different sets of rim for my Lancer. First set(4 rims(17" Eagle Alloy), 3 tires) costed me 200$ + S&H with very minor damage My last set (4 Konig) costed me 300 with again very little damage.

So browse other boards and find the deal you like

I got to believe Ebay usually has the best of all the worlds. Good bargains on used rims from aroung the country; plus, good/honest companies making a living distributing using the site exclusively. I got a nice set of Ro_ja 17's from Detail-Works in NY for only $270-$280 (4x114.3 too/very hard to find). Good luck with the search though.

Personally I'd just buy Rotas and go to a place like Tire Rack for tires if I were doing it all again the cheap route. If I were smart though I would have just bought forged wheels in the first place and saved myself some time and money.

I got my wheels from wheels next. They were so great to deal with, excellent prices, great salespeople, super fast and free shipping. And they sell nice quality wheels, not just cheapos. I've had like 5 sets of wheels now and I can tell you from experience that you most definitly do get what you pay for! Cheap wheels will bend, chip, fade, and look like crap less than a year after purchasing them under normal everyday driving conditions. Spend the extra $$ for a good brand and you will not be sorry. Also, if you plan on showing or racing your car, that should be a big factor on what size and style of wheels that you get. If racing, go smaller and lighter. If showing, go bigger, a better brand, and something that is newer or is less common.
