Sorry to hear that. Breaking into someone's ride is one of the most cowardly things someone could do. POS's. I'd call your insurance and make a quote. You may need to make a police report first. Your insurance will cover it. That's what you pay them for, right? Good luck.

Sux man, but same thing happen to me after about 3 months with my car. Since it was a while ago, they didn't have any used glass, so it cost like $80 for the window. Local shop did it for me. They might have used glass now that the cars have been around a while.

Not quite sure here, but won't insurance only cover however more it costs after the deductible? Thats my understanding anyway. Sorry to hear about your car. I hate it when people mess with our cars. Go find something better to do at 3:30am like SLEEP!

Z is right. Deductible will be more than replacing it yourself, and could additionally mean raised rates. See if there's a Safelite Auto Glass near you. They do mobile glass repair, and they're pretty cheap. Did a great job on my old car when it got broken into.

it's too bad your parents made the claim. you should not have b/c your deductible will be more then that. now they have it of file though. no reason to call the police, they can't do anything. I had my car broken into twice by my mexican neighbors when i lived in colorado with my eclispse. limo tint, but they knew i had subs and they tried to get those. they grabed my amp and tried to rip it with the wires still in. too many wires so it stayed in there, but the cops couldn't pull prints on my metal amp they tried to rip out. nor could they on my windows or door. i don't know what cops can get finger prints from but if it isn't metal or glass their options seem limited. sorry man it sucks, hopefully you dont have glass inside your door.

do NOT get used glass.. thats cheap and the wrong way to go..Safelite produces their own aftermarket glass.... it's basically like putting APC products on your car... i would check out with the local companies to see if they use OEM approved glass... it may not say on it, but that doesn't mean it's aftermarket...

My last car (94 camaro) went through the same experience. Except it was in broad daylight, I got the plate number, and they almost hit me with their car as they were driving off. I have full coverage, but my $500 deductable won't let me write off a single broken window. On the Camaro, it cost about $200 to replace.
...All over a ****ty old Sony Xplode headunit, a bazooka triangle sub, and a 200 watt american pro amp.
