melted throttle cable

Hey guys know of a couple of people who have had their throttle cable melt and I was wondering what I should do. I called up the dealerships around town and due to the Holidays they won't be back until tuesday.
What should I do?

Sit on the valve cover and rev the engine manually. Have someone sit inside to steer and brake.

...Just wait for them to be back on Tuesday.

Green my turbo melted it. There was a lot of slack with my cable and I guess it got to close to the turbo.

Update: I was fiddling with the throttle cable and I actually got it back to 95% I'm going to mess with it tomorrow and see what happens. I just got find a way to keep it from melting again.

Hobie, I should just get some rope and drill through my firewall and pull on it. Heh heh.
