Wha... Where.... Um...!!! Where's the boot to fit on this thing?! I've looked everywhere! The filter doesn't fit on the sensor box, some adapter plate that I was told to order has a huge mouth and I can't seem to find a boot to fit around that monster! So no intake before the Sensor! Help? Anyone?

Heh, asian leprechaun. I like that. Explained, I have a Weapon R Short Ram Air "Dragon" Intake. Now... either I didn't get all the parts that came with it, or the vendor that I bought it from didn't know anything about the setup.

Lancer ES 2005 is the car that I have, supposedly the layout and equipment isn't very different from the 2002-3 Lancer. The way we set the intake up was like this...

From Front to Rear:
Filter - Doesn't fit on this adapter plate thing
Rubber boot - ??? Supposedly I need this thing and I cant find it.
Adapter Plate - Universal adapter plate for mitsubishi... ... yeah right
sensor box - houses an o2 sensor???
intake pipe
intake manifold
-- end --

Anyways... I need a rubber boot to connect the filter to the sensor box (adapter plate before the sensor box). Has anyone else with this intake run into similar problems?

Where did this come from?? The mass airflow sensor on the intake is wayyy different on 02's compared to the new ones. Send it back for refund? Usually a good vendor will give you a return shipping label incase of improper fitment or shipping damages.

i have an 04 lancer.. and maf is same as the 02-03 lancers.. order the adapter from ebay.. or get some cupplers... if it wasnt complete.. make it work.. it aint that hard.. thats if u want it to get done asap..

Thanks, made it work and the MAF sensor is taking to the intake like it was an original. I had to make it work but the air's a flowin. Anyways, thanks for everyone's input on this. Learning more everyday ... :P
