my vent

well, i just replaced my master cylinder which i mentioned in another thread. It worked. Now my slave is leaking! I'm not here to ask questions or anything, I've already done a search and found that this is a fairly common problem.

I bought this 2002 Oz a couple of months ago used from NY. I've had nothing but problems and wish I would have never bought this car from an individual. I'm strongly considering taking her to court over it due to her e-bay explanation that the car is in great condition and i know you can make claims through e-bay.

I have so many extras laying around my house and so much more I wanna get to customize my car, but it seems that all my money is going to things that should have been working when i bought the car.

Sorry to vent, but it was either this or going at my car with a Louisville slugger.

Right now I'm heading out and getting the only thing that will make me feel better about this: and

well the situation is touchy becuase I paid a shipping company to bring the car to IL from NY and paid the extra insurance on it. The car was broken into as visibile from the crowbar marks on the interior dash (or as the shipping company calls it "normal wear and tear"). They had to replace the whole dash coming up to just shy of $1600. I waited and waited (about a month and a half) of my new car sitting at the mechanic waiting on the insurance company. FINALLY I GOT THE ANSWER! Too bad it was denied! So I paid for it out of my own pocket, had the peices ordered and waited another month to get it back. So right now I'm in the process of taking the shipping company to small claims court which I'm not expecting much (big company vs. 19 yr old boy who can't afford attorney).

I've had the car for 3 months and drove it a week. In that week, I had the clutch problems.

My life is filled with pure bliss. Wait I've got to go answer the door, someone is knocking. Hopefully it's the grim reaper.

p.s. I don't think Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS for short) will be getting too much more business from me.

ohh and that whole anecdote was just to sum up how long the process has taken which has come up to more than 60 days. So now I can't even file a claim with e-bay about the clutch (or the missing compressor and dryer for the air conditioner, but that didn't seem like a big deal at the time)

yes, I've learned two lessons: 1) Never use e-bay or trust anyone, 2) Screw anyone you can, because if you don't they'll screw you

Dude that really sucks!!! That is why I don't get anything from ebay even if it looks legit, cause as much as I like to believe in the good of people, I've been burned bad too many times! Hope you get some kind of resolution or something outta this!

Sounds like a case for my friend, Judge Judy. No seriously...no legal background here, but the "extra insurance" was paid in case that anything would happen to the vehicle---it would be covered, right? So, anything do happen. What is the reasoning for them not fixing anything and everything? Good luck.

I feel sorry for you. I've been burned only once or twice buying from Ebay. You really have to know what you are buying and be really careful to avoid getting burned. I learned not to buy junky, no-name car parts after I bought a shorty intake for my Focus. The instructions were awful, like they had been drawn on a napkin and copied! The intake had no mounting bracket, it was just bad all the way around.

Maybe this women didn't know the clutch was bad, but I find that unlikely. You probably won't get much help from Ebay in this case, as they say "caveat emptor" or buyer beware. You shouldn't have committed to the car until you got a chance to look it over, thats why Ebay has an escrow service.

Getting used cars is such a gamble. Once in while you actually come out ahead. Most of the time, not.
