I just got a recall notice from my dealer where I bought my car from. Anyone else get one recently? VIN no. 2U004566 Campaign no. C0409Z. Anyone know what this is about? I can't really bring my car there cause my car is redone to the extent where the techs would not be able to work on it. Can I just get the part and install my self??

 

whats the recall for? they wont give you the part. theyll make you leave the car while they install whatever it is.

 

oh i think its the fan controller. Mine is broken and i have my fans wired to run all the time. So i can't bring that there and have them fix it because i messed with it. I also have different fans. Arn't they a little late sending me this? lol

I had that replaced on mine about 6 months ago. It was replaced under warranty. I had header/CAI.

 

i'm not worried about my warrenty...its definitely gone...was after a month i had the car. but i rewired my control unit since it stopped working and i needed fans so thats why i can't bring it there. I guess i'll try to see if they can just give me the unit and i'll rewire it back to stock.

it doesn't matter if you have every mod possible done to your car and that you have 250,000 miles and your warranty is way beyond gone. If its a Recall, They much replace it, no matter what. It's the law.

 

^^^yes it is the law, i had mine done last summer i think, it was a while ago anyway. i bet those techs could do it, thats what theyre trained for. it shouldnt take long, mine only took 30 min, probably take an hr tops.
