Unhappy Bad news / good news

Well, this is one i did NOT wanna hear... especially being deployed to the middle east right now. I got an e mail from my kid's mom who is watching my car. She said my car got keyed last sunday That is f*cked up. She said that there was a vandal running thru the park and f'ed up a few rides besides mine ( feel a little better ) It wasn't bad but you could see the marks on the car. The police were called and they took the registration and insurance information down and said for me to give them a call when i get back to the states. She mentioned that she got some info from my insurance company ( state farm - good guys btw ) and they may be able to hook me up with a new paint job. ( feeling still better ) Man, this makes things interesting.

1. new paint job = keep Lancer / hold off on evo ??
2. still need to replace windshield and left headlight bezel - cracked from rock damage = keep lancer ??
3. Being transferred to Las Vegas in Nov. = save money for trip ??

Wow, what a predicament

The paint job is needed... esp. on my trunk. I removed the LANCER letters w/ goo gone. Not pretty.

The trunk can be fixed with some cutting compound and wax, it fixed mine. Just have the insurance company pay for the paint, you'll just have to pay your deductible.

Yeah, depends upon the size of your deductible. If it's $1,000 I dunno if I'd even bother. If it's $500 or less I'd probably get it done.

About deployment...my best friend is heading back too. Just after he said he probably wouldn't be returning after his 1.5 yr stay already. Kinda sucks man...
