What else is left?

What else is left for 02-03 Lancers ES,LS,OZ???

We have:

INTAKE (CAI and short ram)
EXHAUST (Greddy and Magnaflow and many more)
HIGH FLOW CAT (RRM and any muffler shop)
EXHAUST MANIFOLD (Kamikaze, RPW, RRM, OBX?)
DOWNPIPE (Buschur)
CAMSHAFT (Stage 1, 2, turbo1, turbo2, from RPW)
CAM GEAR (RPW, Fidanza)
PIGGYBACK (RRM, Emanage, SAFC2, many more)
STANDALONE (AEM, HALTECH)
THROTTLE BODY (RRM, RPW 60mm, 64mm, twin, individual)
INTAKE MANIFOLD (RRM, and RPW's 4g93)
FUEL RAIL (RRM, and private vendors)
FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR (universal and RPW raising rate)
FUEL PUMP (Walbro)
INJECTORS
HIGH COMPRESSION PISTONS ( RPW's,Buschur different vendors)
RODS (RRM, RPW, custom)
PORTED 'N POLISHED HEAD (RPW different stages, custom)
TURBO (RRM, TSI, custom)
SUPERCHARGER (RIPP)

I think this is it. All the upgrades/mods/performance parts for US Lancers.
What else could be added to this list?

I know there are suspension mods and transmission but I'm not counting that in. Let's treat it as a different category even if it is very important.

Can there be something else vendors could give us to play with????????????
APR stud kit is already out there from RPW, valve springs.

The only other thing I can think of are oversized valves.

ANY IDEAS?

WHAT WE NEED (EXAMPLES):
- GIGANTIC INTAKE MANIFOLD
- TWIN THROTTLE BODY COMPATIBLE WITH OUR MAS (Boe is working on one)
- OVERSIZED VALVES?

The Mods you can do to your car are almost endless. Just because RRM doesnt sell it doesnt mean it cant be done or its not worth it. Remember there is a lot more into tuning an engine/vehicle then what can be bought off the shelf and installed.

Upgrade your Ignetion, (MSD)
Down Pipe / Flex Pipe (the 2 most restrictive peices on a lancer exhaust)
Lower your car (incerease Areodynamic efficency)
Install/make a rear defuser (gets rid of the nasty parishoot effect)
Change the exhaust to eliminate more of the bends (straight exhaust is going to be more efficient)
Fuel pressure regulator, Injectors, Fuel Pump (N/A or FI)

Remember that your goal to increase power is to be able to force as much fuel/air/spark into that engine. How much you increase will depend on your personal goals and how reliable you want your car.

Look at all the air (intake) peices. Think how you can make that more efficent. How you can make the air travel faster with less drag in the pipes.

Do the Same with the Fuel. think "how can I get more fuel in that engine faster and more efficently"

And the same with the exhaust " What is the quickest was to pull the ehxaust out of the engine while still leaving enough back pressure to keep the tourque?" (there are math fomulas for that one)

And that basically how tuning works. I like to think of everything as a River, I find its easiest to figure out the fuel air and exhausts paths of travel.

As far as body kits and lowering a car go remember that an aerodynamic car is faster then a non aero dynamic car with the same power.

Then there is the weight issue. Clean out your trunk, take out that "system" and either use your OZ wheels that weigh only 14 or 15 Lbs each or buy the lightest aftermarket wheels you can find. They are more expensive but its easier to get a 10lb ball rolling then it is to get a 20Lb rolling and un-sprung weight (anything that is not held up by the suspention directly or indirectly) will add the equivellant of twice the weight on your car.

Another thing you can do is have your AC unit completely removed. Also remove your power stearing and have your stearing rack changed to one that is set up for non power stearing.

The list is almost endless. My mind is filled with ideas on how to make my car way faster, unfortunatly my wallet doesnt back me up.

You relly can't mess with the ignition unless you go with a full standalone ECU. The Dist. packs screw up using MSD. In fact I think people have tried and ended up frying stuff.

^ I was going to say that. Even tough MSD makes distributerless/wasted spark ignition system it is still not compatible with US Lancer <---- from what people have experienced.

I'm trying to make my car as fast as possible just for my own pleasure not for drag or track.
That's why I would rather keep the power steering and AC, crash bars, and the standard necesities.
Is there anything else that could be changed in the engine?

I was simply expressing the point that it is one of the things that could be done, I didnt get into all the elements that would have to be done with it for that reason.

If you told me your goals and a budget with a time line I could suggest the modifications to help you get there.

Make me fast and able to drive on the street like a normal person.

I wanted to start this thread to find new ideas for vendors to develop new parts. Price is not a big issue at this point. More important is the effect of it on the car and that means being able to drive on the street.

the budget is key. even a close proximity. $500, $1,000, $10,000, $50,000 Budget is very important. At least make a guess.

It is really not a matter of a budget. I have my goal and budget, right now I am looking for more variables to tweak.
But if you really need to know it's less than $10k
