hey hobie, police cars have laptops in them, ask your local police if they have to power up and down those laptops everytime, if u hear the right thing, then ask who installs thier stuff and ask him.... just and idea.

I'm not paying to have it done.

And I know you can unsolder the chip, but if you accidentally overheat something and damage it, you're royally ****ed. Hence the words of caution.
