help on putting on windshield tint strip

i bought one of those windshield sticker that says "Mitsubishi" which goes on top of the windshield. I thought it would be really easy to install it myself, just cut, spray soap water on the inside and squeegee. But it turned out that its hella hard to cut it as a curve to the windshield.......has anybody done this before and could post like a full instruction on it? thanks very much.

If it's anything like putting on window tint, if you had a template to go by it would make your life a thousand times easier

Usually, you don't cut it to match curve of the window perfect. You cut it, but leave extra to trim off after, too much is better then too little. Then start from one side applying it, and squeegee. As you get around the curve, you have to 'stretch it' over the curve a little. Not hard. Just apply evenly and slowly.

Talking

Apply it straight accross your windshield....then carefully use an xacto knife and trim the decal to be even w/ the glass...that is how the vinyl shops do it.

Or...just not put the vinly on, everyone will know what kind of car you have w/out writing the cars name on the windshield!

attached the entire thing and glue it on, then use an xacto knife like said above and cut off the excess once you have it in place.

I reccomend using a squeegee in the lower corners first so it stays in place while you cut it. Then squeegee all the water off and you should be ok. If not bring it to a glass place, I am sure they will do it really cheap.
