Squealing Noise

I have the RRM CF Evo 7 Style hood on my ES. I had the little raingaurd on, and was washing my ES. After I was done, I started the car and noticed a weird noise (it lasted less than a second and went normal). I pulled it into the garage and decided to look under the hood. I lifted the hood and thanks to RRM genious rain guard design, a ton of water just poured on my engine. I closed the hood immediately to stop the waterfall. I opened it back up and had a towel ready to stop the flow.

I started the car and heard an awful squealing noise for about 1-2 seconds, then the car was normal, but I immediately turned the car off. I waited about a minute, then turned the car back on. It started perfectly normal, no weird noises what so ever.

My question is, do you think there was any internal damages? Or do you think a belt or something was just wet and slipped or something similar to that? Any suggestions/opinions would be welcome. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.
I was also guessing it would be something simple like this.

Anybody else?

Oh and for future reference, does anybody know how well the air filter keeps water from getting in? I have the stock intake system.

You should be able to take a **** on it and then start driving, jk. Filters have special oils in them to prevent water from getting in, unless you will submerge it.
After pouring a cup of water you could probably start the car and get going. Not remmoneded!

closed.
To be completely honest, I don't know why you actually started a thread about this, unless your just trying to brag about your "RRM CF Evo 7 Style hood on my ES" in which case there is the show and shine forum.
