That's what I was thinking. But then I thought why put decompression pistons in since the first thing that would go after the pistons are rods then compression problems could be an issue, right?
My pistons are forged already + decompression gasket = high psi in the future.
By buying decompression pistons they would cost me more and then the best thing would be to get rods but that's a bit much at that point $$$.

David from RPW told me that with current compression their thickest gasket would put me back to 9.5 a little bit lower than stock.

If thats what you want than go for it, you definitely won't have to worry about the pistons getting messed up.

Unhappy

Today I went in the morning to a local shop working on Mitsu and Honda.

Their main mechanic checked out my car for about 30 minutes and he said:
THE PISTONS WALL CLEARANCE IS EITHER TOO BIG OR TOO LITTLE!!!

If I will keep driving like that the pistons will either collapse or the rings will, so either way it's not good. They said they can take out the engine and then check the bore if it was changed. If so the best thing would be to buy a new block. They mentioned long block but is that possible on lancers? Any benefits?
I will talk with the guy who did the swap before and see if he did check the clearance or no.

It sux, maybe I should just buy a stock motor and stick it in there and then turbo?

i have the same pistons... and possibly the same problem. i really doubt that's it though because i run really strong, and other than the noise everything is fine. what are the odds that both of us had it done wrong? i dunno man.. i don't have any stock pistons to put back and in and i really don't feel like taking the time to do that anyway. i'm going to run this engine til it dies, noisy or not. if the block blows so what, i have a lifetime warranty on my new motor.

Mitsu will definitaly see the cause if your engine will fail, new gaskets, new sealants...etc. It sux if both of us have the same problem. I will check back with the guy that swapped the pistons for me. If you are running really strong that's awesome, I was too, on the beginning. My intake sounded CRAZY, now it's like stock.
It's time to collect all the parts, turbo, camshaft, maybe pistons, and rods, or maybe just a new engine. Block is $200.00 so it's almost nothing.
