test pipe need baskets?

Anyone know if installing a test pipe will need gaskets? Or .. can I just use the existing (if any) ones from the stock cc?

if this is in the wrong place, please move

When I installed my test pipe the stock gaskets disintegrated

Yeah I'm just at 3100 miles .. so I think the existing gaskets will be sufficient .. or so I hope. They shouldn't be dissentegrated yet. I've had the chance to custom make gaskets before, which aint the best way, but if ya don't have cash .. gotta made do. :P

Thanks for responding guys. Going test pipe first mod .. then exhaust and intake. Anyone wanna donate me some $ ? hehe

Test pipe is the best mod for the money IMO. You won't feel it much at first, but it makes worlds of difference when you start getting more mods.

My gaskets were fine around 15k miles.

you should check rrm or rmr's website and i'm sure you could find one on there. you could also pm stealth-wrx and see if he has a test pipe left to sell.

I should be okay with the factory gaskets I believe. Now just gotta worry about getting the bolts off. Gotta love pneumatic tools! I just noticed the title of this thread too. :P
