MY CAR IS FINALLY REGISTERED!!!
Hahaa! After spending about 1:30 hours at the registration office in Germany, I am finally a happy man again!! The car is registered and I got a nice numberplate too! Only one bad thing, which I hadn't realised before, some muppet who checked the car put in the papers that I can ONLY use S-O1s and S-O2s, talk about taking the ****!! So laugh hard, but I will get that sorted too... it would be sad if that was a permament thing. Tomorrow's supposed to be a nice day, so Ill go for a nice spin... ahhh!!
Hahaa again! Went for a few spins today and behaved like a general 18year old menace. Just couldn't help it
Raced anyone and got lots of "attention" from hobby-policemen flashing their lights at me. Scared a Boxter, all in all a very good day!

Well done!!
Now you can come to the Ring! I was out today: did 5 laps. First time out since November.
Car worked well, except that shifting into 5th at high rpm makes a 'crunchy' sound!
Probably the syncro.
I will be at the Ring on the 10th this month with some of our team in the Evo 7.

Congrats Michael. Good feeling, isn't it!
Yesterday I took my car out for the first time in 3 1/2 months. Felt so good again so I just installed the Forge dump valve today and went out again. Almost got already through two tanks of fuel!
So can't wait to sort out my boost problems! Gerrit where's the WRC cat?
BTW my back is improving a lot those hard months of therapy begin to pay off!
Happy chappy again

Gerrit, looks like I'll be at the Ring next weekend, but not on the Nordschleife. I'm looking to go to a drifttraining on the GP circuit. Check www.pistenclub.de.
Mike, you know exactly how I feel, although I was without my car for about 6 months. Even drove to work with it today, trying to hassle anyone on the way.... isn't it great to give the car some stick.
What are your boost problems?

Hi Michael
yesterday I also scared the **** out of people overtaking them on the backroads and shifting from 4. to 5. at 7700rpm next to their door! Unfortunately I still have a cat so no flames!
My boost is still controlled by the standard restrictor **** and is all over the place, meaning oscillating between 1.2-1.4bar, boost creep in higher gears. I've already have bought a MBC from www.turboxs.com which Clive uses with good success. Now I'm waiting for my WRC cat from Gerrit to complete the engine mods (for this season!).
As I'm able to drive hard with almost no back pain anymore I soon will drive to Guido to have the rears installed aswell.
Cheers

I suppose you've checked that it's all clean and no rust? Especially on the actuator. If it oscillates that usually means there's too much gain, but I have no idea how to fix that in a mechanical way. Yes, it's great fun to scare people with the dump valve
Just change gears when the valve is right next to them... is sure to scare some. The best fun I had so far was to hassle a Boxter that was poncying around with the roof down. Driving through the Neandertal (yes, THAT Neandertal) he thought that he'd show that ugly thing behind him how to drive and gave it some stick (if you can call it that) through a very tight bend. I was glued to his back with the filter hissing and blow-off valve going off about twice a second. That got him a little nervous especially when I just kept falling back and then accelerated very hard to pull up behind him with the valve going off. Hihihihi, that gave me a smile
My gf wasn't too impressed, but I had told her that during that drive there was going to be no "MIchaeeeel!!" (has to be pronounced in German for the full effect).

The cat is not here yet Mike.
The 10th we will be at the Ring with some Recaro guys and a street Evo 7.
See you all there!

hope it will be soon sorted out. It gets on my ****. I've just fitted the forge recirc. dv. I had the standard one reversed before and the Forge made an improvement in driveability. Good investment!
The drift training sounds very interesting. Have to check the link you provided. Should be big fun!
Gerrit
hassle Niki a bit. My dad has spare time to weld and make it fit.
Cheers

Hey, Michael,
what is all this about your gf/woman?? What is she (they!) doing in the Evo anyway?
I will be at the Ring saterday and sunday. Need some practice. Should be wet, so no bloody motorcycles!
Hope to see you there. Let me know when you are there.
Scooby,
It is not in Nicki's hands. Hope to get it soon though. We need one for our car as well.
The Falken 451 tires felts very mushy last saterday. They will probably work ok in the wet this weekend.
