Aftermarket Seats
Corbeau Forza II (I think that's them) are about $250 each and are supposed to fit my fat *** and be a decent seat. Then you want to get the Schroth Rallye 4 harnesses that connect to the rear passenger seatbelts to be hardcore for your autocross days.
^ True, but those are not reclineable and hard to get in and out of. If this person is going to be doing daily driving, they will be slightly inconvenient, not to mention the danger of wearing the harness outside of an autocross setting. If he just wants nice seats, I recommend getting a reclineable one, even though it costs more. If he wants to autocross, that's a whole other discussion, as I'm sure you know.
Ah, but the Schroth harnesses are designed to be removed
And as far as I'm concerned if you want comfort, buy a friggin Cadillac. If you want performance, you pay to play (heard that one before?
) hard seats are the price for less expensive club racing seats.

Not sure which Schroth you have, but the two that I have owned could only be removed by unbolting the entire seatbelt system. But yes, you're right about pay to play. I had reclineable seats though because when I bought mine, the STS rules dictated it. Now, STS allows fixed seats as long as they are over I think 19 lb or something. They changed that rule like 2 months after I bought my seats
Schroth Rallye 4 is on the list
http://soloracer.com/rallye4.html do a google search for better instructions on how they bolt in, but basically it just clicks into the rear seatbelt. Yes, that's a shallow enough angle to still be safe, it just needs to be less than neg 45deg from the horizontal.
Wanna sell me some racing seats
I hear you're not AXing your lancer anymore

Oh, yes you can quickly remove the rear part, but that still leaves the shoulder straps dangling through your harness holes in the seat and draping off to the side. That's what I did, just drove with the racing harness draped over each side of the seat (a racer doesn't care how silly anything looks as long as it's functional).
Sorry, I already sold almost everything. Seats, intake, Teins, strut bars, sway bar, tie bar, shifter. Unless you want a Magnaflow cat-back, an NOS Shroth harness, or a set of Rota Slipstreams 15x6.5?
I do still autocross the Lancer on rare occasion, though, but when I do it's in the SK2 (local class for stock cars on street tires) and just for fun. So I don't need any of the mods. My fiancee is very happy that I'm back to the stock suspension because her t*ts don't jiggle around as much (too bad)
