Question Apex motorsport seats ?

I just saw these Apex motorsports seats online for like $280 shipped for a pair, NOT from ebay, and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with them ?

I found them here: http://www.surpluscomputers.com/stor...&item=CES10681

Just because they aren't on ebay doesn't mean anything. My bet is they are the exact same thing as the ebay seats with a different label.

lol..

Yea, just buy them and try them out. Thats what I did when I got my generic racing seats off ebay embroidered with ralliart.. I actually like them and the way they feel. All you need is the lancer custom floor brackets.

Those seats are actually kinda hot. The boxy patten on them is something that has to be used to. And WTH are they on Surpluscomputers.com

there's a how-to on reusing your stockers. Which have to be rated for a crash, aftermarket pieces don't so there's no reason to think that an aftermarket seat bracket is better than stock. I did re-read the thread an there's some issue with removing the stock bracket, but it sounds like a grinder could take care of it. I don't know for sure.

Can you measure the distances between the holes for us? That would help a bunch.

Nice find BTW

You can't separate the stock brackets from the seats.. they have like (4 or 6) 1/2'' high tention steel rivets through them that hold them together. I could not get mine apart and I tried nearly everything and broke lots of tools..lol.. its not worth it. They wouldn't have bolted up to my aftermarket seats anyways even if I did get them apart because the seat on the bottom was a diff bolt pattern. Just get the RMR brackets and do it the easy way. Spending a little extra money to do it right instead of the cheap-rice-ghetto-rigged way works better.
