I have a bud in illinios that has a shipping company for vehicles. He shipped his car down here for a installation of RRM stage 2, LSD, clutch, etc... did it all in 3 days. I'm sure i could let you contact him about some shipping assistance.
What you think of that?

Puns are the same thing intended as jokes, I am going to pay my dues tomorrow. I'm going to get a compression and diagnostic test, so then I may not have to make a trip to Iowa. Saves me time and expense. Then it's turbo time!

Didn't get to ask, the shop was closed by the time I got there. They said they had to use some like telescoping thing to see the problem. they said it was fried and put a new one in. It only cost me $95 with the compression and diagnostic test, including the new spark plug. The person who sold me the car, really didn't think I was actually going to modify my car the look on his face was great lol.
glad to hear it was just a spark plug, I just changed mine recently too (but mine wasn't misfiring
)
good luck with the turbo, if you haev RRM take care of it you will not be disappointed i'm sure

The thing is my friend was the one pressing it because he installed it.
Anyway...simple idea - if you don't know enough about what you or your friend is putting on your car, regardless of what the part manufacturer says - don't do it. Leave it to trained techs to install what needs to be done.
And, that turbo kit, unless you know how to fuel map, I also wouldn't recommend installing it.
I can get away with anything here in my town with my car being loud and tricked out. We have no sound ordinance, there are some tint regulations, but cops don't say anything normally. I know the chief of police here and he lets me go around at night with my underglows on, it's sweet ****. Other than that yeah Hawaii probably is better, but I would rather travel across the states in my vehicle than just one.
I have read through this WHOLE thread. I recommend two things: One, stop tricking out your damn car at 19 and pay it off. I work for BMW/MINI, you really think I want to drive a Lancer ES? I drive it because it gets me to and from work with a good sound system to make the ride enjoyable. When I start making more money (just graduated and am working full-time) I will buy a car I really want. Two, don't do things to your car that you think will make it fast unless you do your research. People will take you for a ride. I HATE the Fast and the Furious movies for one simple reason: they made stupid ricer-wannabes want to go to my school (Universal Technical Institute) and they realized after 3 classes that there is more than bolt-ons to properly diagnose and fix a car. I don't mean to bash you or make you feel stupid, but I am telling you from experience and from reading your posts on here, you want to be more educated with your decisions.
I hope you learned from all this.

gotta agree with utiheadbanger, you dont go from doing a weapon R intake and a redline chip (both of which id prob never suggest) to doing a dry shot of nitrous without hitting some issues. And i dont know if anyone will get this referance but "Buttons are not toys" meaning if your friend trys to push it again . . SMACK HIM!
