Keeping aftermarket exaust centered

Im sure I am not the only one who cant keep their aftermarket exaust centered in the cutout on the back bumper. I was growing tired of crawling under the back and pushing the rubber hangers over so the exaust tip wouldnt burn my bumper. So here is my .99 cent solution.

Get some medium sized zip ties.

Position the rubber hangers exactly where they need to be on the metal posts.

Use zip ties to fill extra space on the metal posts so the rubber hanger cant move back and forth anymore.

Cut the excess tails off the zip ties.

Rejoice that you dont have to constantly adjust those damn hangers anymore to avoid bumper melting.

My RMR exhaust hasn't hurt my rear bumper at all, but I've been thinking of sticking some kind of spacers in with the hangers to center the tip. Now where'd all those zip ties go...

I have Greddy exhaust and it's centered nicely and does not melt my bumper.

The stock hangers slide. That's a large part of what caused my problem with the Buschur cat-back in the first place. I used a strip of steel with holes in it (hell if I know what it's called) and a bolt to tie the piping down to a hanger. Worked like a charm. When I have some spare time I'll put my car up on stands and fix it, but I'm a lazy, lazy man. I was thinking of doing this only using a flexible bushing, but hell...at this point I don't think it's gonna matter much what I use so long as it stays still.

Did anyone try to bend the metal hangers on the exhaust so they would line up with the rubber hanger on the car? I remember having to do this on my Civic when I put my exhaust on myself. Luckily since I am buying the RMR from BOOYAH I probably won't have to deal with this issue if it occurs for all of the exhausts other than Greddy.

Now that other owners have spoken up. It may just be my car, now that I think about it I didnt have much of an issue until I put the kamizaze downpipe/header on. Their downpipes flex section is really short and hardly flexes and that may be throwing the rest of the exaust off down the line.
