One more thing ... if you live in the rust belt, don't cheap out on the exhaust, but instead go stainless steel. Not that it's detrimental to safety, but having your exhaust rot out in less than 2 years is kind of a bummer.

I am going to add a few more things about the NEX coilovers. I got them, love them, and would recommend them. Other than that, I have only seen one website selling them for $538 when I bought them now $599. The other websites that I have seen that carry them sell them for close to $900.

GreenPyscho, you mention wheels but forgot about tires. Spend a little extra money and get a quality tire.

yeah, I think i'd have to say I disagree on tires. to be able to be sold in stores, I believe all tires have to be DOT certified, which means they are good enough on some level and are tested to some degree. True, they won't stop short or have enough grip to get you out of an accident, but I don't believe they will cause one just cause they are cheap. And besides, you can get expensive tires that "go bad" if your unlucky enough.

Tires is more of a matter of performance than safety I think.

One minor thing i would like to add is steering wheels: I haven't seen too many on here, but it seems everyone ditches their nice and safe steering wheel WITH airbag for some POS MOMO ripoff. Guys, if you want a better looking steering wheel (cause that's all it is, there is no such thing as a better performing one that will give you 10hp) cough up the dough and get an evo one with airbag, just remember you lose your cruise control when you do.

so what do people think about R1 rotors? If not good, then where is a good place to get rotors and what brand?
