Question for Lancer owners:
Any one with a rattle in the top right portion of the dash area?
If so have you had it fixed?
What caused it?

I'm a new Evo VIII owner and in the Evo section several owners have mentioned this rattle. Mine does it some times and does not do it other times.

Just wondering it any of you guys experienced the same thing since we share the same general dash layout.

All I have experianced is the "A" pillar cover rattling on the drivers side didnt bother taking it in just pushed a tiny peice of felt between the cover and dash

Aparently only the Evo VIII have this problem as it is mentioned lots on that forum.
Last chance - does anyone with a Lancer have this problem??

 

I have an '03 LS, no rattle that I can notice in my car, it's about 6 months old now. Good luck figuring out what the noise is!

 

I get the rattlwe only when im under hard acceleration. Ill probably find it when i rip my dash apart to paint it here before too long

 

Not i Tuner, the only thing i get it a high pitched whine till the car gets good and warmed up

 

Yeh, tuner I got that same problem with my 02 oz. I whent to the dealer and the guy tried to tell me that he didn't hear anything, which could have been possible because like you said it seems to happen some times and other times it is fine. Any way I told the guy to let me drive and sure enough around 4-5 rpm it made a faint rattling noise. Not as loud as usuall but the guy said he heard it. They pulled apart the dash and said they couldn't find ****, so they just put a piece of felt inbetween the airconditioning vent and some other peice. It seemed to fix it for the most part, It definitely isn't as loud as it use to be. Just recently I noticed another noise on the drivers side this time. I just said *** it and turned the music up.
