^ Very true. Learning basic car maintenance on the Lancer is easy. I learned how to do oil, suspension, brakes, exhaust, engine components, trans fluid, etc. all on this car... pretty simple.

I can honestly say that I have NOT ONCE been dissapointed with my Lancer.
It could use more power sure, but thats what makes the Tuning hobby more fun.
Overall, for an affordable daily driver and entry level Tuner car, I love my Lancer.
I think You will too.
Good Luck Man!

Totally agree. No complaints. it definitely gets points for being unique. It handles very well and from what i've heard gets even better with suspension upgrades. I'm working on increasing the power a bit first because it does leave a lot to be desired. I've driven most cars in its class though and overall it contends with all of them. You really can't go wrong with it. In my opinion it looks way better than civic, corolla, focus in their corresponding years. i do really like that new civic though, but then it is a civic so i wouldn't buy it if i could get something else (to retain my soul as an amatuer tuner). i say go for it, knock that price down though
