Almost impossible to do that especially with my insurance company... State Farm. They make sure they bring you to an authorized body shop and they itemize the quote and bill making sure everything was accounted for.

So i go to the local autobody shop the guy is like if you don't need a whole new roof anywhere around $750 - $1000. yup my life sucks!!!
Most definitely call your insurance company. I got caught up in a big hail storm about a year ago, and it caused almost $1500 in damage to my hood, fenders, roof, and trunk. Yes, it's considered an "act of god", and unless you have a really crappy insurance agency, they should cover it without a problem. You can't control where thte snow blows, lol.

Your state may be cutthroat, but I'd be willing to bet the lawyers in your state are cutthroat as well. Seek legal advice. A lawyer can go a lot farther with the school than you can.
