Extreme winter setup?

I jsut moved from hot florida to blizzardy vail CO. Temps can get well below zero and it blizzards like crap here. How should i setup my car for this change in weather? What oil should i use? Differene in antifreeze from florida? Etc etc, i dont know much about driving in this kind of weather so any hel is appreciated.

Get winter anti-freeze (good to -40) and just be sure to plug the car in if it gets below about -15.

Warm up the car. Other than that, if it runs then you can drive.

Well, road conditions and temps are two different things though. Temp alone isn't really a reason for problems once you get the car to operating temp.

def need winter antifreeze and a diff oil, not sure how low you can go with the oil before the oil pump will have issues. and get yourself some decent winter tires, alot of guys suggest blizzaks.

You don't need a different oil. I've driven in -40 degree celsius weather with my normal oil in there and its fine. Just let the car warm up first and you should have no problems.

yeah but as you go north... you get a different weight oil... u might want to check into it mike and make sure what you got put in in florida can handle CO winters
