Need help w/ hood pin install!

I am looking for some assistance on installing my hood pins. I have the Evo 7 hood, and just got done reading about the hood latch busting and flying into the windsheild... IM worried this will happen to me @ 65+ mph. NOT GOOD. I have the hood pings to install, but I am not sure where to mount the bolts. If someone can give me some insite on this I would greatly appreciate it.

Please post pics of the hood open, where the bolts are mounted. I can do the rest from there.

THank you so much!

- Andy

Next, install the pins, height doesn't matter, u will need to close the hood slowly on the pins and mark where the hit the hood.

Then, remove the hood and drill the hole in the bottom, be careful, the drill has a tendency to chip around the whole while drilling... put just a little pressure into it.

after you have the whole drilled from the top and bottom of the hood, you will to mock up the height for the pins. this will take serveral attempts.

once the pins are at the correct height, you will need to take the latchin part. ( the part that rivits to the hood ) and mock up how u want it to sit.

At this point, either use a untensil to mark the holes to drill for the rivits ( if riviting, seems to be easiest ) and then drill the hole.

after the holes are drilled, use 3 rivits to get the latching part in place. now test to make sure the pin goes tru the bolt and its tight, if not adjusting is in order...

thats is the basic way its done, if you need more detail or help, im me.
