Am i too hard on my car?

Hey everyone, i dont know if im just too hard on my car or the stuff thats going on is just natural.

Now my list of mods is in my signature but let me give you the run down of what my car is:
Its a 2002 Lancer ES, it has 70k miles on it, the oil has been changed every 2900 miles, tires are always rotated every oil change.I had my 50k mile check up. If im driving its usually to commute back and forth to school because my job is only 5 minutes away from my place (3 1/2 minutes with all green lights) and its washed once a week, waxed once a month, the exterior, the interior, engine bay, and under carrage still look almost brand new. and i love taking care of it in every way shape and form.

Now heres whats gone wrong in the last 6 months:

- Fried 3 engine sensors related to the ECU
- warpped rotors
- bad wheel bearings
- ignition coil gave out
- front lower sway bar literally broke in half
- bent 2 of 4 rims to the point of not being fixable because they were "oval" shaped
- Intake manifold had to be replaced (under warrenty thank god)

That may not sound like a lot but they arent exactly what i considure to be common problems, and ive got no money now because this is all happening all within the last 6 months, and having to pay for school.

My point is, yes, i take the ocassional corner hard but damn, look at my mods, most of them are suspension, and im not hard on the engine ever because it still runs like a champ and its still very very very smooth plus it doesnt make any odd noises. i dunno, anyone elses Lancer falling apart?

well warped rotors are pretty common. What the hell happened to your intake manifold to warrant it being replaced?
And how did you manage to break your front sway bar?

sway bar, who knows, the intake manifold though, it was related to a part that was apparently a part that was recalled on all lancers, i forget what its called though, but my check engine light wouldnt go off until they replaced the entire manifold.

Warped rotors happen a lot on a lot of different cars, its usually an issue of heating the brakes up, then putting the E-brake on, and at least you're not in an Evo, where everyday a new problem occurs.

Anyone have details about the recall for this IM or IM part that failed on you... This is the first time I've heard about that.

Rotors do not "warp" so much as they wear unevenly, causing a rippled surface that's a hinderance to stopping power. So it doen't take rapid temp change so much as a lot of slamming on the brakes.

+1, its still in good condition (knock on wood). the only major repair other than routine maintenance, is replaced the slave cylinder and clutch around 55k, b/c my slave was leaking.
