Ok me and my friend (which has a 05 Ford Focus ZX4 SES) always argue about this. I was told by my dad to put the best gas in my car because he says its better for it then cheap 87 gas. But I also hear that it does not make a difference. My car is 2002 ES Lancer with 100,412 miles (yeah thats alot! I KNOW!).....I dont know what do you guys think?

 

IMO it aint no matter. no diff on our lancer engines.... i tried filling 91 and dumped a bottle of octane booster, i didnt feel any diff comparing to regular 87. but i still fill 89 cuz simply becuz i dun wanna feel like im giving the cheapest crap to my car....

 

ive heard it doesnt make a diff in our engines like arnold said. I use 87 just because its the cheapest. lol

93-94 depending on the station. PB version 1.0 ---> 91+ (we don't have 91 in NJ, it's 87,89,93,94)
