Important thread for regular Lancer owners. Please read.

THE PLAN
For some time now I have been an advocate for getting more companies to produce products for the US Spec Mitsubishi Lancer. Reason being that:
1. More market competition lowers the cost of aftermarket components.
2. An increase in product quality by continued research and developement.
3. And of course, and increase in the selection we have for aftermarket products.
Personally, I don't think that there is a very good selection of products, more-so that it seems to be more on the extremes of the market: Either very costly and high quality, or cheap junk.
So what is it that I'm trying to do?

I believe that most members would love to have more companies making Lancer products, but might not have the time, or maybe the confidence to write a "professional" email. So I've decided to start an email petition of sorts.
Here's where you come in
I am going to write a generic email of sorts, and "sign" it with your name and email address, if you feel led to help me out. All I need is this:
1. Your name.
2. Your email address.
3. Specific products you might be interested in (that I will direct toward the appropriate companies.)
4. A short message of interest you might like to attach to the email. It could be something simple like "I love my Lancer, and I'm in the market to purchase such and such a product." Or something more technical, asking for a new aftermarket product, like an ECU chip, camshaft, etc.
ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING!
I'm trying to find some statistics on Lancer sales in the US during 2002 and/or 2003 to include in the email. If anyone has ANY information about this it would be GREATLY appreciated.

i would just love some more exterior aperence maybe a cam, cam gea,r fuel rail, intake manifold, pullies, and lots more energy suspension bushings, not to boot more suspension parts maybe a rear strut brace, new gauges, a like 2 or 3 pod gauge pod well i guess that all i want for now

Yo, you may wanna do yourself a favor and collect the info via PMs. There's info you may not want just anyone seeing. I mean if people wanna post it that's their business, but I wouldn't recommend it.
EDIT: For the record, Joe...Autometer 2 and 3 pods for the 2g Eclipses should fit fine (real close, just use a heat gun to finalize it) so long as they're not full pillar.

I don't own a lancer but I can only dream of the things that I would do to it if I did.

The things I would like to see are:
turbo, turbo timer, guages, lights, exaust, intake, short shifters, something to take away the second caty ( that will still pass smog )
In general I would like to see performance stuff
more than, "for show" stuff.

I'd say a lot of the mods available at RPW are really nice, but being in Australia, that's a little expensive to get here in the US. They're more than simple boltons, but brake upgrades, disc conversions, and mechanical engine components like theirs would certainly be nice.
