performance shocks and struts would of been nice.. but i'm beyond that now...
the reason u dont see many stroker kits for our car because its already a stroked 1.8 motor, there simply isnt enough room to stroke out another .4 liters imo

now i don't have to say it oh dear.....i found a stroker kit some place a while back on a small site....i cant remember who was selling it but i need to find it again. it only increased displacement to 2.2L though....and if you ever find a way to guage the cylinder after you stroke it...you're done for. IMO if you manage to guage the cylinder on a OEM block, then MAYBE consider stroking it......but otherwise, it's more of a hassle than anything else.

I would love to see performance parts offered by mitsubishi just like TRD offers parts for the scion tc. To have a supercharger backed by a warranty? Thats awesome. And not to show any disrespect for RRM's turbo kits which have proven to be great, I just can't afford to mod like that and then pick up the bill every time something goes wrong. Although I'm sure mitsu would never do this and it would be very expensive. anyone have an update on the supposed ralliart shop to offer these parts?

I would like to see this also, or at least sell more ralliart stuff here and create more stuff. THis is one thing that has kind of driven me away from Mitsubishi is their lack of support for the Motorsports community and grassroots motorsports community.

Don't get me wrong, i understand Mitsubishi is having money issues, but maybe if they did something at all it might come back to help them in the end.

For example for my Nissan Sentra I am preparing for Prosolo and Solo Nationals, I have a small contingency program with Nissan Motorsports that I will probably never see any money, but they have a really sweet grassroots motorsports parts program and its great and encouraging to see a company doing this. Yes the NISMO stuff is still expensive, but competiton proven stuff is not a bad thing.

You know what, you are probably exactly right.. but hey.. it is a wish list right.. so anything is is 'possible' lol. I never even thought of that but that seems very likely.

I would really like to see more Lancers in motorsports. That is all. I know it won't happen too, but that'd be more fun for me than parts.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was told it was originally a 1.6 (Mirage) that was bored to 1.8 for the later Mirage and then finally to 2.0 for the Lancer. But I believe it was bored more than stroked.

Sorry Andrew, the Lancer just isn't condusive to a racing scene. It's terribly overweight with an undesirable suspension geometry, and has a motor with a limited potential. It's best autocross class is stock class, and even then it's 1000 porkier than it's most frequent competitors. It's still fun to do something new, but there's a reason it's not a fad.

Too true Brian, but actually, stiffer shocks would help out immensely for us HS folk in autox.

The thing I would like and would most def. buy would be something that changed shift points on the 02 lancer autos. A friend of mine has a caviler and has a thing from B&M that is suposed to help his acceleration. he has an auto too. I just get so tired of my car shifting into fourth gear when I hit 40 mph. does anyone else feel the same way?

Very true, but you still have to compete with the older (lighter) Civics, Suzuki Swift, and the like. I do agree that the Lancer is MOST competitive in the HS class, though.

Can't you just hold it back by having it in 3? As long as you're only shifting up manually, you should be fine and able to keep it in a lower gear longer.

I think ur right on that one, the mirage did originally come with the 1.6 and i think that is probibly the same engine only with a smaller bore.

I haven't had a problem with older Civics or Swifts. Honestly, in the Chicago region, the Civics have been modded enough and are usually in STS. In all but a few autocrosses, me and my Lancer have placed first in HS. But here in Chicago, we have street tire class, mixing all the stock classes together.

So I think the Lancer is VERY capable. And like someone else said, I'd like to see more Lancers in motorsports, especially something easy to get into like autocrossing.
