Stupid freakin Cat Bolts

I got my magnaflow yesterday and went to install it today and i cannot get the damn bolts off from the cat. Frozen (rusted) shut. I doused it in wd40 and penetrating oil but still no help. Any suggestions? i'm sure you guys have had this problem before, i hear everyone does. I'm going to try a can of PB Blaster tomorrow. I hit the bolts with a hammer a bunch of times to loosen it up, i've tried everything. If the PB blaster doesnt work i guess i'm goin to an exhaust shop to get it loosened....

let me just recommend that you don't use a torch on it when it has WD40 on it.... just a suggestion.... you know, if you like having hair and eyebrows.

corroded bolts are going to round right out once you put a breaker bar on them. Youre either going to a shop or youre getting new hardware and cutting the old off with a dremel.

I usually give exhaust bolts 5 minute of my time, then I just cut and replace, course I always have new bolts handy to put on.

To get mines off i sprayed it with wd-40 let it sit for around ten minutes then put a ratchet wioth a 1 foot breaker bar and just kicked the hell out of it. Still was a b*tch to come off but it gave eventually.

Thanks for the hints. I get to look forward to this next weekend when I get my cat back put on. I am also considering not driving my car a day before I do this. Hit the day before with pb blaster and 15 minutes before I try and get those bolts out.

Also, what size are those nuts and bolts? I am going to go buy new ones tonight unless someone can tell me if the Greddy cat back comes with new hardware.

Just get a good angle grinder with a cutting wheel. Takes care of any bolt, and usually those exhaust bolts are so rusted you wouldnt want to reuse them anyway, so why not just cut them.
