lbperformance, my mistake.

I ordered a spoile from lbperformance.com im montreal canada for my girls b-day. so they send me a message saying " hello sir, to ensure that we sastify you completely we would like to send the spoiler to our body guy and have him take a look at it, and also if your are interested he could paint it" . So i think for once a company who cares about customers, great. so i ask for a qutoe to have it painted. then they send me a reply " To have the body guy look at it is $125 and to have him paint it as well its $325". WHAT...... i thought he was checking it out for free and might paint it if i said too. Now if i order a brand new wing and someone has to look it over and it cost $ 125, should i be worried???

I would, unless the company doesn't have a return policy.. shouldn't ever have to get something checked out before sent unless the company has a ton of bad reviews or something

Umm... I guess that's company policy, but unless it's clearly stated that you HAVE TO send it off for their people to check and possibly paint it, don't do it. Sounds a little too schemish to me.

That'd be a prompt "No thanks". What's their reason for checking the thing out anyway? So the guy can bash it with a hammer and tell you they can repair it for a small fee?

yeah, forget that $125, have the guys at your local body shop take a look at it (they'll do that for free) Next have it painted, unless your girfriend is going to be driving 130mph+, i dont think you really need a $125 inspection for the wing.

let me clear this up.... lbperformance is not selling broken product. This was unclear in the messege they sent me. They wanted 125 to prep for paint, and a total of 325 to prep and paint. I'm sorry if this caused any confusion. the guys at lbperformance are great and have answered everyone of my annoying questions fast, and effectively. i juts wanted to apologive cuz after re-reading this it cam across in a bad way.
