voltage stabilizer
okay so im cruizin on ebay, and ran across several "voltage stabilizers" anyone know if they work? they say they help fuel economy, help throttle response, lower engine noise, etc.
if you need a link i can post one...
is this just another gimmick or is this for real???

gimic, i searched awhile back on here and google, and both were pointing out, its better to just have 'hyperground cables' if you really want to do anything.

All of this is a waste of money. Voltage stabilizers and grounding kits are for people that go "ooh, it's a cheap mod for my car!" Unless your car is poorly grounded (doubtful, since the oldest USDM Lancers are 2002), you probably don't need it.
(and yes, I got grounding kits for my last two cars. So I know rice.

I think it depends on what your after. I have a grounding kit and all I noticed is the headlights don't dim while braking, and that's it. Until someone can show how such a subtle change to the electrical system can produce actual power, I'll remain a skeptic.

As I said, I bought them for my last two cars. Never noticed ANYTHING. So I'll remain a skeptic.
Import Tuner has claimed HP gains on the dyno, but since you can't get the same dyno numbers from a car twice, it's hard to accept.

I heard the voltage stabilizer works...
a friend of mine had it so I borrowed it and tried it on my car...
felt a difference in throttle responce... and for some odd reason it made the car sound different 2...
but for the price... no i don't think its worth it...
it works even better in conjunction with the hyper ground kit
