Lancer OZ or not?
I have had my car for a year now and just had routine service done. (oil changes and tire rotation) I like my car it is fun to drive. The only problem I have had is a rattle around the a pillar region. I think the car is durable as hell and well built. I had a Ford Ranger and blew the automatic tranny up.

I have a 2002 lancer OZ Rally and it has impressed me quite a bit. True though, the paint does chip easily, but that is by far the worst, the interior beats a lot of other cars out there and so does the cabin space. I will have to say you should get the 2003 OZ, and not the Ralliart, the front bumper is the ugliest thing i've ever seen. Go for it man!!
ibe havin dee 02 oz, but dare no much difrence in the 02s and 03s...the service at mee dealuh is awsome mon, very quick, and i hardly pay fo a ting! i not have any problems so far wit me lancer except fo da worn out brake pads, but i be at 25k miles, so thats nohmal. i reccomend dee lonca to you mon. mitsubishi make very good cars mon
First off, Hellacious, speak english. NOT broken english you fob(fresh off the boat).
Second, I bought my 03 oz back in oct 02 and it now has 16k and it is still running perfectly. My dealership is very good, if i have any problems with them i just complain and get free ****. So far I have gotten 2 oil changes and the service package 1 for free. Tip is to buy it from a dealership at least 30min away so you can get angry when you have to go there for even simple things like oil changes.
I had one problem with mine, besides the paint, but that was my own fault. I like to see how things work, so I took apart the gauge cluster and the speed od stopped working but i put all together and claimed it stopped on its own
and the warrenty covered it. Like I said though, it was my own fault.

I have had my Lancer for 14 months now. OZ Rally '02. Drives great, I have logged in 20K+ miles (I commute
)
I change my oil every 3k to 5k miles, experienced no problems, and I drive hard. Can't help it I love the car. The OZ interior is worth the extra $$ on it's own over the ES model but if you can afford it go with the EVO...duh.
The only issue I have had with this ride is with the paint. Since I am on the interstate alot, I have splattered spots of chipped paint on my hood, from all the crap the state throws on the road during the winter months, but it is nothing you notice unless your *** is right up on my hood looking for the defects. On a scale from 1 to 10, I rate the car an 8. If it had more horses and better quality paint, it would be a 9.5
. Speaking of horses, aftermarket parts are just now becoming more available to us as more and more vendors get a clue, so more power and more options are becoming available.
But, test drive the Lancer, jump on the highway/freeway and see for yourself how the car feels/accelerates.

I love my car, one thing I didnt like is the aftermarket support. No mechanical problems, interior is in excellent condition and so is the exterior, except for some paint chips - Oklahoma roads are bad, too many rocks and small critters.
I got my lancer in the begining of this year. I bought a stick
ES. I wanted the OZ but the ES was 8000 with only 18000miles on it. Now that i look back I am happy that I did'nt go with the OZ. I have already painted the interior and you can easily get a odometer switch. I am getting new rims and tires for graduation. I have a short ram intake and an exhaust. As for the suspension I could easily add the rear bar and I already bought a front strut. I love my ES and I think you with LOVE your OZ. Just talk the dealers down(they can come down alot on them). My dealer fixed my car when i screwed it up with the intake. I screwed up and put an aftermarket intake on and THEY fixed it FREE and towed it FREE.

One of the last car I want to buy is Lan OZ, I dun want to become Evo wonnabe.
I dont want get my *** kicked anytime anywhere by every Suby cars. Notice I said "every"?
If you get 20k, go get Dodge Neon Turbo buddy, and enjoy your ride. If not, buy a corolla then, more reliable and durable then Lan OZ.
