So, 36,500 for an imported evo.
Remember that the imported Evos are coming with a Motec ECU. That's not a cheap piece of hardware by any means. I think that neither method is better... just a matter of personal preference. I'm certain we won't get the same thing as the Japan spec Evo, but what that difference will be is not know yet. From my own experience, warranty has served me 0 benefits so in my case I think would want a imported Evo 7 once legalized.
I think the best benefit will be we can compare the RS2 spec to the US spec once it gets here and all enjoy our Evos equally on the track

182 at the wheels would mean 182hp measured from the actual wheels of the car. This is done on dynos like the dynojet of mustang dyno. The factory specs you see in magazines and brocures are measured from the Flywheel so they are higher. Most people will compare wheel hp dyno numbers because it's far too expensive and tedious to do an engine dyno.
Hope that helps,

blackevoVII,
yes, the imported car from E.I. will have at least a year's worth of warranty (I forgot if it was 1yr or 1.5yr). Since no Mitsu dealer knows about the Evo here, the way it works is you take your car to a mechanic you trust, he performs the work, and E.I. will pay the labor/parts cost.
Parts are within 36hrs away, so I am told.
Again, if you have specific questions about this issue, please direct them to E.I, as they can provide you with a more accurate answer than I can

perfectly legit response. If the evo comes out with atleast 260 that would be a great buy. If they dont change anything on it drastically, getting that hp back wont be difficult. WHen importing do you get a warrenty? id rather buy from a dealer and get a warranty for my vehicle and spend the 6 grand to put it past what the imported evo can do.
