Cool

Actually what I am more concerned with is when is the car going to be delivered. How much of a downpayment does EVO Imports require? Cuz with these details he might have more then one customer.

If they can get the Evo not detuned and all for $36,500, than Mitsubishi better have to do something that will at least rival this. I know that this deal is a limited deal, but I hope Mitsubishi can keep it under $30,000 and a little detuned. The importers must still be making some kind of profit from this and they have to buy it from Mitsubishi and they must also make a profit so wouldn't it be possible to keep it under $30,000 and a little detuned?

I dont understand why everyone keeps speculating about the EVO VII.

Mitsu has already said OVER 250HP, UNDER 30k, and available JAN 2003.

what's the problem?

Will667, when Mitsubishi says that it will be under $30,000. Does that mean that it will be a fully loaded Evo or just a base GSR kinda deal or the base RS? That is the only thing that is bothering me.

When the EVO arrives I think it will be pretty much loaded just like it is elsewhere. I'm sure if there are any options they will be few. As you guys probably figured out by now is that Subaru may be bringing the STI here so you can base your opinions about the EVO on that.

GT-A? I'm not even gonna get into this ridiculous rumor other than that it's the worst one I heard next to the one about the evo not having a turbo.

Use your common sense guys.

Will667,

My common sense tells me that the EVO will come detuned, just like any other performance european/japanese car that gets here. I believe that the Evo will come without any AYC, ACD, smaller intercooler/turbo, among other things, and will rival with the STi that will come here as well, also detuned from Japan, to meet "US Regulations". The problem with the US, I believe, is that the market niche for those types of performance cars are very small, that's why we don't see them here.

I, for one, am more thrilled with getting an imported RS2 model and legalizing it (hopefully), than waiting for the detuned US Evo to be here.

That's just my opinion, not trying to stir the pot or anything :-)

Karl

perfectly legit response. If the evo comes out with atleast 260 that would be a great buy. If they dont change anything on it drastically, getting that hp back wont be difficult. WHen importing do you get a warrenty? id rather buy from a dealer and get a warranty for my vehicle and spend the 6 grand to put it past what the imported evo can do.
