that engine would have had to be removed from the original car almost right after they bought it for it to have been sitting for over a year. But still the timing belt should be fine. I think we are all a little confused. You made it sound like the mechanic said that everything on the engine is good (fuel components included) meaning he doesn't think you'll need to change it. He's wrong. You need to swap fuel stuff because of the different systems in years

i'm sorry i ment he says everything will work fine together. He said yes we will have to change the fuel line as well. I didn't mean for it to sound like he doesn't know anything......

o well u didnt say anything about him saying anything about what we said something about so i assumed u didnt mention what we had talked abut and therefore i was confused about y he didnt discuss what we discussed when we discussed it.

he said the aluminum head was bent? I thought the only way you could warp a head was if you blew a head gasket...at least on small blocks...

I was refering to the post above mine... i don't remember you stating the head was bent/warped. You did mention some damage from the broken rod.

I am the new motor. I think i am going to get one from a place in Cali. called Japan engine inc. they are saying these ones are the racing motors. i donno...

That's crazy talk. Especially with Mitsubishis. Good thing you don't have a 6G72.

Your best bet is to keep things as simple as possible. Find a low mileage 02-03, and be done. If you start getting into other types you'll have to change out more then just the engine.
