Damn, the Lancer front bumper is bulletproof.

Yesterday i was in my friends driveway and i left my car in neutral and we were gonna go hang out, he just assumed i was going to pull out of his driveway but i went up to ask a question and he just started backing up. Turns out that he backed RIGHT into my car and bumped it back pretty hard. But then i looked a bit, not a dent, not a scratch, not anything.

Pretty impressive.

Your friend seems mildly retarded. Have him checked? How could he not notice that A) you weren't in the car and B) the freaking car wasn't moving?

I did the same thing to his car the other day, just i noticed it was there right just seconds before i would have hit it. Im sure you do it too, you are so used to backing out of your driveway, you dont even focus on backing out because you do it a few times a day. I was backing out and then i just glanced at the mirror and i saw his car there, i would have done the same exact thing.

Its natural, you get used to backing out the same way every day, your mind eventually adapts to it always being that way. Cant act like you dont do the same thing in all different aspects.

You wake up at night to go to the bathroom, you barely have your eyes open but your house has always stayed the same way, but all of the sudden your room mate put a giant desk in the hallway and you stub your toe. It doesnt make you an idiot, its just that you are used to things being the same.

I don't know how many times I've bumped into the gigantic flower barrel at the top of my driveway, but my bumper doesn't even have a scratch. The barrel on the other hand.....

And yeah, today in the daylight i looked over the entire from bumper. No scratches, no dents, not even any paint damage. It looks like nothing ever happened.

Im pretty impressed. Then again the car was in neutral.

I agree. How do you just back out without looking? What if there is a little kid on their bike? You gonna tell the parents that you ran over their kid because you are too used to your driveway being empty?

I have done this with an old engine i used to have the ford 140ci 2.3 from the '90 mustang I took it out and shot it with a 9mm and it didn't die...to bad we didnt have a bigger caliber

And to all the others, I would have to say, I look around me at all times to see whats going on wether backing out or driving down the road, I should think that you and your friend get in the same habit.

Why would a little kid be riding his bike IN my driveway? When i get to the end i check the road, i check behind me, before i go out. But while im in my driveway its just habit, im sure you do the same exact thing but just havent had any incidents. You guys are trying to cover it up, its habit, its human, you get used to things always being the same so eventually your mind doesnt even process that you are doing it, it just turns into a habit where you dont have to think.
