Keep to what Mitsubishi recommends. Go to the dealership and ask for some power steering fluid and tranmission fluid. They're stuff is best for our cars! DIAMOND brand

Yes if you use the wrong power steering fluid you could f up the whole power steering rack. All I know is thats is red just like the tranny fluid. I would go to the dealership.

Use your owners manual as a reference guide; it's all in there...

You can get it at a GM dealership. From what I remember it's basically pennzoil synchromesh but substantially cheaper.

Actually you'd be surprised... I paid about 3 bucks for a bottle of power steering fluid. Their prices aren't that bad. But if they gonna fill your car for you? that's when they bone you in the butt. ha ha..

just get the bottles, they don't cost much.. you'll see.

I used Redline for my power steering and manual transmission fluids, and they are great! The dealership in my area even told me that Redline was good, as I wanted to double check with them to make sure I DIDN'T have to use Mitsubishi fluids. The only fluid from the Mitsubishi that you HAVE to use is the automatic transmission fluid.
