I like magnaflow plenty. It's a lot more affordable, has a nice rumble to it without sounding too loud or like a lawnmower. Comes in a really nice polish and the tips seem to fit in the cutout pretty good. Getting it with a custom bent cat-back would be a good idea also. If you wanna see a pic, I have one in the registry.

HELLS YES!
But I'm still waiting on parts like everybody else...I think I'm gonna pass on the Injen Cold Air intake since most tuning companies don't think you need one. I'm gonna go with a short ram and let the stock ram feed air into a cone type filter. Injen makes a universal heat shield, plut Ractive and AC make intakes with the the heat shield built into the filter. This should end up being way cheaper than the RMR intake. But when bolt on headers become available and a cheap reliable turbo come out, you can bet I'm going to town. P.S. Thanks for the compliment...it makes it feel like the money I'm pouring into this is really worth it...

Go with RRM parts

I've seen their setup and know what they are working on. I think all of us want inexpensive, high quality, high performance parts. That's what they do. No BS markup or just charging too much.

Intake for OZ
$99

Strut bar (much nicer looking than RMR)
$99

Turbo (installed there)
Available now

B&M Short Shifter (with bushings and a tight knob)
$169

High Flow Cat Pipe
Don't remember price

Throttle body
Coming soon

Intake heat shield
Coming soon

Carbon Fiber Hood Vents (evo style)
Coming soon

They have more too.... but as you can see they are hard at work for the OZ's and I have some of their stuff on my car. It's good sh*t.

sounds like a fun little project. how much did you pay for the exhaust, i can't find a specific exhaust for the lancer on their website. How much hp did you gain with it and do you actually feel the difference?
Oh yeah and you said the sound isn't bad at all!!!!!!!!! 'Cause I really hate thos honda civic guys who have exhausts that sound horrible -> kinda like if they would be farting out the window.

Hey Sk8board...you're talking to me right? Oh well, I'll answer anyway...
The muffler ended up being $175, but I hear that you can get it a whole lot cheaper, add the custom bent 3" catback and it ended up being about $300 which is a GREAT deal considering most specific application catbacks, no muffler, smaller pipe, can push $400+. Magnaflow makes mainly universal mufflers, I believe. If you wanna see the one I got, it's under the mirror finish section, it's the dome tip.
P.S. You're from Chicago, huh? If you know somebody named Julie who goes to the Art Institute there, tell her that I hate her and I hope she gets cancer in the face.

Hey Sk8board, you pretty much have to have a muffler shop weld the the muffler on which should run around $20-$50. Maybe they'll bend the catback for you too, if not the big ones like Meineke, then the smaller "Ma and Pa" type shops I'm pretty sure would. I got mine done at a performance shop. I'm sure Chicago has some. Just look in the phone book for auto performance or motorsports etc. Feel free to ask away! This is a friendly board (for the most part) and I'm sure most people here would be willing to help out with anything that they could. Good luck...

Thanks for your input fellas I think I will head down to the magnaflow dealer this weekend and get a quote and see what he has to say.

I'll post any info I get. I'm going to the car show in Cleveland tomorrow as well, hopefully the EVO will be there.
