Farewell Lancerregister, Hello Lancerforums!

Hi All,

Just wanted to officially introduce myself as a new member of this board. Like Claudius and a few others that are now on this board, I've been mainly posting my topics at the MLR forum, but now they are practically shutting it down for non-members. I have no reason to pay their fee since I live here in New York, and can't take advantage of member's benefits except for posting on a forum. I have now found my new home. Thanks to those that are making this possible for all of us to share our ideas regarding our wonderful machines.

I drive a 98 Evo 5 GSR, right hand, here are the mods I've done so far:
HKS Hiper exhaust decat pipe
HKS front pipe & extension
HKS SS Springs
HKS Timer type 1
HKS EVC-EZ
HKS racing suction kit
HKS oil & boost gauge set on Justin's apillar(TorqueIC.com)
HSK SSQ BOV
Flapman's Red Mudflaps with RALLIART Logo
PE ecu re-map set for mods and 94 octane fuel (Sunoco gas here in NY)
Cusco (carbon) braces upper, lower, rear
Kenwood 5" TV touchscreen unit
Kenwood CD Changer
Blaupunkt DVD/VCD/MP3 player
19" BBS Challenge Wheels (performancealloys)
225/35/19 Toyo Proxes FZ4

Future plans will probably come next year (well, maybe end of this year):
AP clutch, 6 pot brakes
Gas shocks (undecided on which)
Pace uprated intercooler
PE Water injection sys
HKS manifold
hoses, stainless bolts (these maybe sooner than the above)

Then maybe, someday I'll just go crazy:
JUN Stroker kit
JUN Flywheel
cams, pulleys, valves
STOP! If I keep thinking so much on what to do, I won't sleep yet another night. Evo anxiety can be painful sometimes.

I'll be taking some pictures of it soon. I'll post them as soon. In the mean time, you can catch my car, along with a few other of my stuff, at the importxpression show in Flushing, March 30th. Then, a couple of magazines (don't remember their names). I'll post them as soon as I find out which magazines they are. One I believe is from Canada.

Sorry for such a long post. In the future, I'm positive they'll be shorter.

cheers

Cool car! Welcome to the forum!

I've always enjoyed reading all those wacky posts on MLR. Good to see some of the members coming here.

Welcome aboard Lee, just don't feed the moderators and you'll be ok!

I'm going to start the barrage of inevitable questions if that's ok? Ya? OK, we'll start slowly. Is that a street legal E5 with NY tags?

Welcome. I'm sure too with your occupation having a modified Evo comes in real handy. I wouldn't think too many targets get away.

Thanks otaking and billy. It's good to be here!

Yes Billy, it's a daily driven, street legal, right hand driven, Evo 5. No NY tags, got it registered and insured in Pt. St. Lucie, Florida. In other words, clean air state (Florida) = no emmissions = no cat. I have my brother-in-law living out there, so he quickly did me the favor of registering it under his name. Taxes was cheaper too, 6% rather than NY's 8.25%.

Thanks evodan. Yes, boost does help when the mac is out of range. Great for drive-bys too, does the job in 10 secs down a typical city block.

Kevin Cuan? Bro, you got me. I've met a sh*t load of people in my life, yet I'm horrible with names. Sometimes I get people who know me, even my name, but I can't remember where I met or seen that person.

Here's a try: Is he Chinese? If so, does he have a cousin that lives in Westbury, LI called Dony?

Yep, that's me. He's one of my best friend's cousin. He's got an older brother too, drives a civic I think, used to drive a probe.

I have a Brittish rec vehicle. It's a 1963 Daimler Ferret MK 2/3. More of a tank actually, grenade dischargers, fully rotating turret, heavily armored. Also drive it on the streets, specially around NYC at night, really fun seeing the looks I get. Awesome when I park in front of clubs.

WOW, people talk about me all over the place. I guess that's a good thing. Have I ever seen you is the question I'd like to ask? And, do you have an Evo 7?

How do I post pictures? I can post a pic of what my military vehicle looks like so you can see that it looks nothing like a hummer.

hahah this is ****ing incredible. You dont know me. I know Kevin because he goes to the same school as me. I met him this semester in one of my classes. He knows my fondness and interest in EVOs and told me about this guy he knows (You) who has an evo Imported to florida. He also stated(without quotes) the car is sick as hell looking and fast. Yes his brother does drive a civic.

and no i dont have an evo 7, but highly considering importing one.

Nope, my evo goes 160+ MPH, accelerates like no other thing I've had.

This monstrous thing tp speed is 65mph; not bad for 9000 lbs beast, but I'd still take my evo over it. Actually, come to think, the mil vehicle did get me more *** last year. Now, I hate to see you owning one, that would limit my uniqueness
