lol, sorry

Good point, I left out the model... How about for both. Then I could also see the difference in HP, Torque, and Weight.
Thanks,
Mike

Here's some specs on the Evo VI RS2, which is probably the version you'd be interested in. Anyone know if there is a difference btween the GSR and RS2?

http://hem.passagen.se/thbo/evo_tech.html

The Evo VII has a little more torque, but weighs more so it would get beat by the Evo VI, but it's supposed to handle and ride better thanks to the new body.

The RS comes with basically nothing... no 17" wheels, no brembo brakes, no nice interior, etc. It also has disc type LSD's instead of the AYC unit on the GSR. It's also cheaper, but it's more for someone who is going to rally or race it and doesn't want to pay for the extras. HP/Torque is the same between the two.

Now there is the Evo Extreme and Zero Fighter w/ 340HP. I love those 18" Work wheels. Here's some specs on that:

The RS has a mechanincal rear differential whereas the the GSR has an electronic unit (AYC)... not sure on the specifics though. My guess is that the RS unit would work a lot better in a race situation (more responsive), but the discs probably have to be replaced often... PITA. Probably similar to ABS versus non-ABS. Most race drivers prefer the control. Also, the electronic unit was probably designed for street/track versus all out racing. I think the AYC is an option on the RS, as are the wheels and brakes.

Also forgot, the RS has closer gear ratios as well. There's probably some other stuff as well, but I don't think anything major.

Lightbulb Thanks

Thank you for the education. I do nto knwo too much about the cars, from what I hear I like though. I am not sure which model if not all... but doesn't the Lancer have smart torque. Like it transferr torque to the tired getting the most traction, like it well slit the torque accordingly¿

Ok, I read an article off the net that explained that the mechanical diff allows for a more responsive car. They said turn in was crisper and understeer was pretty much eliminated.
