Any Downfalls?
They typically have small gas tanks so you'll probably go about 2xx miles before filling up.
There was a recall on the AYC system of some Evo's, but not all and a few Evo V and VI owners have complained of premature rotor warpage.
Of course then you get in the 300hp monster and those things fly right out the window at 100+

Hell I could just throw on a big brake kit of something, maybe some Porsha Brakes!!! That would make it a 1 time problem. My car is known for it tranny or lack there of
. It is also know for the stock fuel system. What was mitsu thinking?
The last thing that bothers me is the aftermarket or should I say the lack there of, for my car.:soapbox:

AP Racing has a big brake kit, but technically the Evo brakes are a big brake kit. It may have to do with how the drivers brake with their cars since some people never had a problem, but some had chronic problems. The MovIt brakes would be a nice edition.
Mmmmmmmm MovIt:
Front Brakes (322 x 32 4 piston):

Rear brakes (299 x 24 4 piston):

Total Package:

Yeah, Mitsubishi is known for those weak trannies. 3 of my friends have owned a DSM car and 3 of them had tranny problems. I don't think the Evo suffers from the same issue, though.

As a uk owner of an E6 I have had 1 problem so far and that is the speedo sensor packing up.A common problem on Evo6 over here as the Jap cars are in kmph and they all need converting. The sensor sits next to the exhaust which causes the thing to overheat and pack up.
Fuel tank is so small, the most I have done on a full tank is 170 miles.Doing track days and 60-70 miles is the norm.
The brake discs warp, there is always ongoing diputes with Ralliart UK about changing them under warranties.Only one disc has not warped,Dragon autosports 2 pieces discs. These have been used on many cars and many track days with no problems.Even the mighty AP racing brake kits managed to warp AP discs on one owners car.
