With just muffler and cat you'll be lucky to get 2 hp.

OMFG.

I want to go to Arkansas and knock some sense into you! How many ways can you ask the same question?

You will gain no HP. The sound will change. Size doesn't matter too much.

I don't doubt it. In between this thread, his post in my "Noob exhaust thread" and all the PMs I've gotten from him, I feel like I'm trying to tutor a student who doesn't want to hear the answer.

It honestly won't make that big of a difference. Here is what you do, I will walk you through the steps.
Step 1. Exit house and walk towards car.
Step 2. Open car door, enter car and start car.
Step 3. Proceed to drive to nearest muffler shop being sure to stop at all red lights and stop signs.
Step 4. Park at said muffler shop.
Step 5. Exit car through the car door and close door upon exit. Lock as dictated by neighborhood.
Step 6. Walk up to the entrance to the muffler shop and enter the establishment.
Step 7. Walk up to counter and tell the man/woman there you would like a new performance muffler for your car. If you know what brand you would like now is the time to mention that particular brand.
Step 8. Upon choosing muffler pay for the muffler.
Step 9. Follow the directions given by the person present as per getting the muffler installed. This may involve driving car to service bay, giving keys to a mechanic, reading a magazine, etc..
Step 10. Once muffler is installed drive home knowing that you just spent 200$+ just to make the car sound fast.
Step 11. Drink in order to forget lost money.

^ I'm rather impressed with this. ^

BTW: Just to clear up a quesiton i've had for awhile now. Stock EXHAUST piping is 1 3/8inchs?. The fckin muffler shop told me it was 2.1/4inch (stock) just by looking at it. Lieing POS.
