How much do I love my Lancer?

So how much do I love my Lancer? Enough that when my girlfriend was looking for a first car I started looking for one for her. So she got a 2002 White Lancer ES, 35% tint, OZ spoiler, aftermarket system with sub, new tires, 60K miles, all work and receipts done on car and up to date including 60K service... all for 6,500. The front drivers headlight needs to be replaced and the hood has a dent but I mean come on... 6,500, thats a bargin!

I mean a car that gets 30mpg, is safe, seats four comfortably, looks good. She's already asked me about what she can do to the car. Viva la econobox!

it's so true though the lancer is a great bargain. when i tell all my friends with corollas and civics (including my girlfriend who has a corolla) how much i paid for my lancer, they get furious because the lancer is so much better looking (even the 04's )

No joke. I've had my Lancer for three years now and I couldn't be happier. Save for the clutch going bad at 35,000 miles, in my defense traffic sucks here in Northern VA and I pretty much tore up the clutch teaching people to drive manual.

I forgot to mention that the car she got is an auto, which should have made it aour 8 grand. So she is really happy. She gets it tomorrow and this weekend we are detailing her Lancer and mine so I'll get pics then.

I'm going to GMU. I live right off of 66 and 123, used to have to drive down 123 toward Woodbridge and that alone is what killed off my clutch. I'm much happier living up here in Fairfax, but there's horror stories about cops up here harassing car guys.

good deal. i got a bit screwed on my lancer... $7150 for 98k on her... it was the only 5 speed lancer within 50 miles of me and i needed a car. i still love my lancer though.

my girlfriend drives a sable... and wants an eclipse. she'd take an eclipse over a lancer.

I got my 2003 OZ for 14,500 brand new off the lot. I feel where you are comming from. These cars drop in price as soon as they leave the lot. But it isn't that bad, we all know that they are great cars for the money. I just remember that a comparable corolla would have been three or four grand more.
