ugh. . . anyway on to the topic. . . its just a static wick. you want the cheap cheap version get a piece of bonding wire from radio shack and screw this thinkg into the chassis and let it dangle to the ground. thats all this thing your talking about does. . . whats the point in spending a butt load of dough on something you can make yourself? whats the world coming to?

are you talking about that black strip you can see at the back of the car hanging off the bumper??
I don't think thats "jdm"
its just a strip that hits the ground "grounding" the car so that you dont' get that static shock...
the description he gave is clear enough ppl... you guys dont' have to be an *** about it...

This is not a JDM part.. this is a DTM part.. a "DOMESTIC TAXI MODIFICATION"
Most fleet cars like taxis and limos have this grounding strap to keep people from getting shocks when they get in and out of them..
Oh, and they've been used on these cars since the early 60's
Let the mockery begin.. heh..

I find this funny. Its like.........(sarcasm follows)>>>
"Oh have you heard about this new JDM part? I dont know what its called but its this metal strip you ground your car with. All those japanese drifters are using em. I heard you can find them on the net sometimes but they are real expensive cause they only make them in Japan. I cant wait till they make them legal over here!"

Its just a grounding strap.. its not JDM, rofl. You attach it to your frame anywhere, and let it touch the ground to get rid of the shock you get when you step out of the car sometimes. Here's a pic of one just to show how they work.
Those things are the most non jdm ugly things ive ever seen. all the rednecks with grand prixs have those hanging off the back.... Is the shock really that bad in which you have to spend $150 on it? Thats crazy.. Take rubber straps and dangle them.. easy as that....

I know that there are other cheaper methods to avoid getting zapped from static shocks but the only thing i am curious is to see why this thing costs $150 and is hard to find.
Post pics/discuss if you have seen anything similar to this before.
