I've wanted a shield for my RRM Header for awhile. Then I found North Star Creations website. Checked it out, looks OK. Picture(s) of the produce looked good enough. Hell, Its just $30 right? OH, +$8 shipping. Its made from lets say a 9x18inch piece of “junk” aluminum. The cuts are really choppy & the bends were very uneven. It was also dented & dinged up. I also requested it in black, thinking it would AT LEAST be painted with High Heat paint. Nope, its just black primer. I can’t say I’ve ever been this disappointed with a product. I just didn’t want anyone else to drop $38 for something of this quality. I hope this helps someone in the future.

 

Damn that sucks, i was really looking forward to a headershield....but anyway, its kinda off topic but do those 275 injectors make a difference with the fuel rail, i have the rrm fuel rail and i was thinking of injectors, but i dk.

DAMN! Aint that a B?! It kills me how some companies can sell POS's. $20 for shipping that is crazy?! I bet 3/4 of that went into their pocket. lol that just sucks... The way you described it was too funny. I feel your pain though.

on some of the reviews for the dampener i remember readin that it wasnt made very well either...it works but just the craftsmanship is boo boo...maybe thats just not their forte

 

Ummm it is painted with High Temp Paint, not black primer.

Why is that odd? Not saying that I believe him but from what I hear about NSC what he is saying isn't so far off wall. NSC makes some crapy dampeners, so it's not so unlikely that they make some crapy heat shields.

Is crapy spelled with to "P"s? Anyway... I'd be interested in seeing some pics as well. But what would he have to gain by telling a lie?

I'm one of the most "anti" RRM people on this board. Yeah, i have a lot of their "sh_t", but its not like choices for performance products for the 4g94 are overwhelming. Right?! Get what u can and STFU is what i say. (I'm hoping A2 Design takes off and I can back Prench 110%!)

Says who? Do u have the product also? Theres a big damn differance between the 2. Last time i check high temp. paint didnt wipe off with "water" then cleaned.
